How it all began

It all started when…. in 2017 Gary was talking about how if you look at a business like a pyramid, you can climb to the top and clearly see every area of the organisation instead of just seeing one side at a time.

It made sense... and so the idea for a pyramid was born. But why stop at one pyramid, after all, there's more than one aspect to any business. We got to work with some paper prototypes which we wrote some of our ideas on, and most importantly, worked out the shape of the cultural core (an upside down square based pyramid with four tetrahedrons stuck to it).

Stage 2

Our next model was made from Lego – we were quite proud of that one and it sat on the desk for a few months while we further developed the concept and thought about the colours.

Stage 3

At the same time we had a local company make us a few 3D printed models which were very successful, but we weren’t that comfortable with the impact on the planet of producing a plastic product.

Stage 4

The wooden models we have today are so much more tactile, a softer feel and smoother look.   They aren’t perfect – because they are made of natures own, but if you understand their metaphor you’ll understand why that’s not just OK, that’s perfect in its own way.
