Each pyramid can be used to represent an area of your life or business, for example: Operations, Finance, Sales & Marketing and Products/Services with the yellow pyramid representing the leadership and a spare which we often use to represent a chairman or Non-Executive Director sitting on the outside looking at the whole shape of the pyramid from an external perspective. The second yellow is also useful to demonstrate the difficulties of having two leaders on top – it’s really quite hard to keep it balanced!

In life your pyramids could represent Work, Hobbies, Friends and Family (or whatever you choose) with the yellow pyramid representing your self – perhaps your own mental and physical well-being.

The cultural core can be used to physically show the importance of a strong culture within the business; to demonstrate how it pulls all other aspects together and to indicate how a strong business can survive the downfall of one area so long as the culture is still strong.
