This pyramid covers the logistics of the organisation; suppliers, how the products get to the customers, whether that be through deliveries, shops, warehouses or across the internet; how damages are dealt with; equipment and IT support, software and communications; policies and procedures, health and safety.  What operations entails is going to be different for every business but it’s a key area which keeps the wheels turning.

If you want to associate a colour with the operations pyramid you might want to call this one blue since it could take some blue sky thinking to get everything organised in this area.
